At the Bunamutoro Primary School on the slopes of Mount Elgon, 240 children from coffee farming families depend on 19 dedicated teachers for their education. Many families cannot afford school fees, so these teachers often go months without pay. And yet they show up anyway.
These teachers aren’t just changing individual lives, They are changing the trajectory of communities.
And so, Kickstart has stepped in, paying the salaries of all 19 teachers, bringing the total number of staff that we fund across all the schools that we support to 55.
Your support is invaluable to keeping teachers coming to school, and children having access to an uninterrupted education. Just £10 funds a teacher for a day. £50 funds a teacher for a week.
